L’usage préfère l’adjectif afférent au participe présent afférant, dérivé du verbe afférer :

  • La part afférente à chacun des associés. (plutôt que : La part afférant à chacun des associés.)

Il est à noter que l’adjectif afférant(e) n’existe pas en français.

Y afférent

La construction y afférent est considérée comme vieillie. De nos jours, elle ne s’emploie plus que dans les domaines juridique et administratif :

  • le document y afférent
  • les pièces y afférentes
