In Canadian usage, worship may be spelled with a single or double p before a suffix. The double p is British, the single p American.

  • When the weather was suitable, the congregation worshipped (or worshiped) outdoors.
  • The resort’s most popular activities were windsurfing and sun worshipping (or worshiping).
  • All worshippers (or worshipers) are invited to stay for refreshments after the service.
