Regina, Reginan, Queen City

A native or resident of Saskatchewan’s capital city is called a Reginan.

  • Reginans enjoyed the first snowfall of the year.

While the demonym Reginan is found in newspapers and magazines, it is often replaced in more formal writing by native, resident or inhabitant of Regina, or some similar phrase.

  • The hospitality and friendliness of Reginans (or Regina residents) is legendary.

Regina is commonly used as a modifier, but Reginan is not.

  • Regina attractions include an excellent art gallery and the Diefenbaker Homestead.

Queen City is a popular nickname for this city.
