The combining form ped- or pedo- means “child.” The British spelling is paed- or paedo-.

  • A pediatrician (or British paediatrician) is a doctor who treats children.
  • In biology, pedomorphism (or British paedomorphism) is a condition in which the adults of a species retain juvenile traits.
