On peut la remplacer par au pied levé, à la dernière minute ou une autre formulation, selon le contexte :

  • Une jeune actrice a accepté de remplacer la vedette du rôle-titre à la dernière minute.
  • Je jouerai, au pied levé, le rôle d’animateur.
