Le verbe contribuer, au contraire du verbe anglais to contribute, n’est pas un verbe transitif direct.

On ne peut donc pas dire contribuer une somme, un montant.

La formulation correcte est :

  • contribuer pour une somme/un montant
  • fournir une somme/un montant
  • faire une contribution de (x dollars)

Exemple

  • contribuer pour 100 $ à une œuvre de charité
