Le nom condominium est un canadianisme qui désigne un immeuble en copropriété. Même s’il est calqué sur l’anglais et critiqué par certains, il est attesté dans plusieurs dictionnaires et d’emploi courant dans la presse écrite.

La forme abrégée condo est aussi correcte. Le nom et l’abréviation prennent un s au pluriel.

  • Montréal fait partie des villes les plus favorables du monde à la croissance du marché des condominiums […] (Le Devoir, 20 octobre 2012)
  • Les projets de construction de condos se multiplient alors que leur prix est arrivé à une sorte de plafond […] (Le Devoir, 19 février 2013)

On peut aussi employer l’un des termes suivants, selon le contexte :

  • copropriété
  • immeuble en copropriété
  • appartement en copropriété
  • logement en copropriété
  • maison en copropriété
  • bureau en copropriété
  • appartement d’un immeuble en copropriété
  • bureau d’un immeuble en copropriété
  • partie privative
