regular routine, routine

Redundancies are words that unnecessarily repeat information. Because a routine is a customary procedure or activity, the modifier regular in the familiar expression regular routine is redundant.

  • Jogging three times a week is now part of Gabriel’s exercise routine (not regular exercise routine).
