Quelques dictionnaires canadiens consignent le verbe puncher (parfois employé seul) au sens de « poinçonner, pointer, perforer », mais la plupart le considèrent comme un anglicisme.

On dit plutôt poinçonner ou pointer :

  • Les ouvriers en ont assez de poinçonner leur carte. (et non : Les ouvriers en ont assez de puncher.)
