L’expression piste et pelouse est un calque de l’anglais track and field à remplacer par athlétisme, une discipline sportive.
De plus, au lieu de dire épreuves de piste et pelouse (track-and-field event), on dit plutôt épreuves d’athlétisme ou épreuves en athlétisme.
