onward, onwards
Both onward and onwards are adverbs.
- Where can researchers find copies of Hansard from 1956 onward (or onwards)?
- From that day onward (or onwards), Anakin was unable to hear the highest notes.
Onward can also be used as an adjective.
- There is nothing that can be done to stop the onward march of progress.
- Lynne telephoned Air Canada to confirm her reservation for the onward journey.
