To write plainly, use below or following instead of the legalistic hereunder.

  • Legalistic: Both parties agree to the conditions listed hereunder.
  • Plain: Both parties agree to the conditions listed below (or to the following conditions).

In many instances, the best solution is simply to omit the word hereunder.

  • Both parties agree to the conditions listed.
