Do not hyphenate the phrasal verb follow up.
Follow up means to continue or to pursue, develop or supplement information.
- Jamal followed up with a strong shot past the goalkeeper.
- I hope you will follow up on her idea soon.
- Follow that up with the chief of detectives, please.
Follow up also means to carry out further investigation.
- The investigating officer followed up on the anonymous tip.
