Tajik (also spelled Tajiki, Tadzhik or Tadjik) is a language belonging to the Farsi or Persian subgroup of the West Iranian language group. Tajik is written in the Cyrillic alphabet and is very similar to Dari or Dari Persian.
- Ladan quickly learned to speak Tajik: it is very similar to her mother tongue, Farsi.
A native or inhabitant of Tajikistan is called a Tajik.
- Most Tajiks are Muslims and speak Dari Persian.
