Words that end with “-sion” and “-tion”

Words that end with -sion and -tion can be difficult to spell because these endings sound similar.

The good news is that you don't have to rely on sound alone to determine which ending to use! You can also look at the spelling of the word's related verb form. For example, most verbs that end in -duce will take the -tion ending after the c (like introduce, which becomes introduction).
