- Sous l’influence de l’anglais "annexation", il faut se garder de parler de l’[annexation] du Koweït, de l’[annexation] d’un territoire donné à une municipalité. Le mot [annexation] n’existe pas en français. C’est annexion qu’il faut employer. Droit d’annexion. Annexion d’une région à une municipalité. Municipalité créée par annexion.
- Dans le vocabulaire du droit des biens en régime de common law, le mot annexion est normalisé au Canada. Annexion au fonds dominant. La notion renvoie au covenant susceptible d’être annexé expressément au fonds dominant par indication adéquate dans l’acte formaliste. Pour ce qui concerne le moment où un accessoire fixe ("fixture") devient partie intégrante du bien réel auquel il est fixé, le terme à employer est attache ("annexation to the wall"). Attache du meuble. Attache matérielle.
