Le tour siéger sur un comité est une expression calquée sur to sit on a committee à remplacer par siéger à un comité, faire partie d’un comité.
De plus, être sur un comité est un calque de l’anglais to be on a committee. On dit plutôt être membre d’un comité.
- Je connais bien Robert, car nous avons fait partie du même comité.
- Il siège au conseil d’administration de la maison des jeunes depuis dix ans.
