L’expression pourquoi pas est généralement suivie d’un point d’interrogation, même lorsqu’elle répond à une question :
- Êtes-vous prêts à vous lancer dans une telle entreprise? — Pourquoi pas?
Il peut arriver que pourquoi pas ne soit pas suivi d’un point d’interrogation, par exemple dans le cas où l’expression évoque une réflexion personnelle :
- Partir demain? Pourquoi pas, après tout.
