Positif est un anglicisme dans le sens de « convaincu ». On emploie plutôt les adjectifs :

  • certain
  • assuré
  • convaincu
  • catégorique
  • formel
  • favorable

Exemple

  • Il réussira, j’en suis convaincu/certain/assuré. (et non : Il réussira, je suis positif.)

Il en va de même de positivement, qu’on peut remplacer par formellement :

  • Il s’est formellement vu refuser l’entrée au parc.
