En français, on emploie plutôt, selon le contexte :
- fête
- soirée
- réception
- partie
On dira donc, selon le cas :
- Viens-tu à la fête ce soir? (et non : Viens-tu au party…)
- Une soirée d’anniversaire réussie se prépare plusieurs semaines à l’avance.
