Le mot oscar provient de l’anglais Oscar, le nom d’un prix cinématographique.
Par souci d’uniformité, il est recommandé de toujours mettre la minuscule au mot oscar lorsqu’il désigne une récompense (au cinéma ou dans d’autres domaines).
Le mot oscar a un pluriel régulier :
- la remise des oscars
- gagner l’oscar de la meilleure actrice
