On peut remplacer non par pas lorsqu’une phrase négative contient une ellipse (retranchement de mots) ou une antithèse (opposition de deux idées).
Toutefois, on doit privilégier l’emploi du non dans la langue écrite :
- Il est possible d’utiliser les avions-citernes à cette fin, mais non pendant le ravitaillement. (ou : mais pas pendant le ravitaillement)
- Le gaspacho se mange froid, non chaud. (ou : pas chaud)
