Le suffixe -able peut se joindre à un verbe ou à un nom pour marquer la possibilité, la qualité, comme dans blâmable, valable, véritable.
L’adjectif déchirable (« qui peut être déchiré ») est bien formé, mais il ne figure pas dans beaucoup de dictionnaires. On considère son emploi comme correct :
- sacs à ouverture déchirable
- une boîte à couvercle déchirable
- des rubans déchirables à la main
- retirez l’entoilage déchirable et repassez
Parmi les dictionnaires qui attestent déchirable, certains le considèrent comme un adjectif invariable, d’autres non. On privilégie l’accord au pluriel.
L’adjectif indéchirable, pour sa part, existe depuis longtemps.
