Au sens propre, en parlant de l’accent d’intensité en phonétique, on dit l’accent porte sur :
- L’accent porte sur la première syllabe.
Au figuré, on dit mettre l’accent sur ou faire porter l’accent sur :
- Le professeur a mis l’accent sur la propreté des cahiers.
- Le violoniste fait porter l’accent sur le côté langoureux de la pièce.
