A sea change in the Canadian map
Puget Sound, the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Strait of Georgia are about to be known as the Salish Sea. The new name honours the Coast Salish people who lived—and still live—on mainland British Columbia, Vancouver Island and in Washington State.
