Language Update, an online journal for language professionals

Language Update is a quarterly journal published by the Translation Bureau of Canada for language professionals and occasional writers. It is available in paper and electronic formats. The journal contains language industry news, practical information on new terminology used in various government sectors, solutions to common translation and writing problems, tricks of the trade, articles on changing usage and miniglossaries on current topics.

At the close of 2009, the Language Update team has prepared a variety of informative articles for you. In addition to its regular features, the December issue includes articles on terminology training, Canada's jurilinguistic centres and voice writing. A Translation Bureau translator and language adviser also explains why he likes his profession so much.
