Family Literacy - Something to Celebrate!

Family Literacy - Something to Celebrate!

In 1999, ABC CANADA Literacy Foundation created Family Literacy Day, a national initiative to promote reading and learning in families. Communities across Canada now plan numerous activities around this event held on January 27 each year. Organizers can post their activities on the Web site of The National Adult Literacy Database (NALD). According to the NALD, family literacy "involves the actions or activities that happen in everyday life, in both the home and community…." So why not join others this year and celebrate Family Literacy Day! See what's in store for 2010 at NALD Events (www).
